Chief Brasher began his career with the department in 1986 as a volunteer. In 1989 was promoted to Fire Chief. In 1996 he became the first paid, full time Fire Chief of the department.
As the Director of the Fire Department he is responsible for complete Fire Department oversight including the fire department budget. He has over 32 years of experience in municipal firefighting and 25 years of experience in Fire Department management.
Chief Brasher has dedicated many years along with others, to help make Mascotte Fire Department one of the finest departments in Lake County.
He is a State Licensed Firefighter II, Emergency Medical Technician, Fire Safety Inspector and State Certified Public Manager. He is a member of the Lake Fire Chiefs Association in which he served as the associations president from 2007 through 2009.
Chief Brasher is an active member of the Lake Fire Inspectors Group, Florida State Code Inspectors Group, and Florida Fire Marshals Inspector Association.
