On 09/17/2024, Detectives from the Mascotte Police Department issued an arrest warrant for Canaan Turner, a resident of Mascotte, in connection with the shooting that occurred in the Gardens of Lake Jackson subdivision on 09/12/2024. Detectives and officers worked tirelessly to bring this case to a successful resolution.
This morning, deputies from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Division and Road Patrol apprehended the suspect at his place of employment.
The Mascotte Police Department would like to commend its dedicated officers, particularly those in the Investigations Unit, for their hard work and perseverance in this investigation. We also extend our gratitude to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office for their vital support, including resources from Road Patrol, CSI, K9, and the Aviation Division on the day of the incident.
