The City is continuing to follow up on the safety concern with regards to the sinkhole associated with Alpine Street. Engineers are still doing some drilling and analyzing the situation for repair.
Due to preliminary findings Alpine Street will remain closed for at least a week, possibly longer, while staff is waiting to receive the engineer's report and plans for reconstruction. This closure is not only necessary to assess the full extent of the damage but we also need to ensure the safety of all residents and commuters.
We understand that this street closure may cause inconvenience, and we apologize for any disruptions to your daily routines. However, the safety of our community is our top priority, and we must take swift action to address this issue.
During this time, we urge you to use alternate routes to reach your destinations. We will actively continue to assess the situation and will provide updates as information becomes available.
