Submit a complaint for a public nuisance that needs to be addressed by Code Enforcement.

PLEASE NOTE: Florida State law Chapter 162 has changed and effective July 1, 2021 our Code Enforcement officers are no longer allowed to investigate anonymous complaints. An individual wanting to file a complaint about a potential code violation has to provide their verifiable name and address.

General Violations Process

1) General Violation
     a. When a complaint is filed, code officer must confirm the violation. 
2) Notice of Violation (NOV)
     a. When violation is confirmed, notice of violation is mailed.
     b. If violation is corrected by deadline, letter will be mailed confirming violation is closed.
     c. If responsible party disagrees, a written appeal may be submitted.
3) If Not Corrected
     a. Responsible party will receive a citation via mail with date of hearing.
     b. Fines begin to accrue.
4) Board Hearing

Construction and demolition. When construction activities pursuant to a valid building permit cannot be carried out in a manner which would comply with section 20-44, and any delays in construction are not due to the applicant's fault; provided that all equipment shall be operated in accordance with manufacturer's specifications, shall be in good repair, and shall utilize all noise buffering methods as specified by the manufacturer, and further provided that such activities shall occur as follows:

Between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and no later than 9:00 p.m., Monday through Friday; between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays.
