Located in the southwestern portion of Lake County, Mascotte is bordered by Groveland, Leesburg and Sumter County. Mascotte's population is 6,600 (USCB), with much growth planned to create future commercial and industrial growth, as well as the supporting residential population.
Established in the late 1800's and incorporated in 1925, the City of Mascotte "Celebrates its Culture and Community," promoting diversity and quality of life.
The City of Mascotte provides a full range of municipal services, including police; administrative and financial services, community and economic development, code enforcement, public services, water, refuse and recycling, and parks and recreation.
The City of Mascotte will be celebrating its 100th birthday in 2025 with three (3) family friendly community events. The City of Mascotte may be growing, but we still pride ourselves on maintaining the charm of a small-town.
