Fire

On behalf of the City Fire Department Staff, welcome you to our website. To keep you informed as much as we can, we regularly update our site with information about our department.

History

Formed as a volunteer department in the late 50s, the department provides Fire and Rescue services to the citizens of Mascotte and also has an agreement with the  surrounding cities and Lake county for closest unit response, so that all our citizens get the fastest emergency care possible.

Staff & Equipment

We are a career department staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with the one Firefighter / Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and one Firefighter / Paramedic (EMT-P) always on duty.

We hold an Insurance Services Office (ISO) rating of four and, responded to 1037 incidents last year.

We protect a population of 5,000 in a 10 square mile area and operate a fire station, with two class A fire engines, two brush trucks and a rescue boat available to serve our citizens.
